Three Wheeled Buggies

This was very comfortable for my kids.

Another thing to consider is the size and shape. The seat should be large enough to allow your child to feel comfortable and to allow them to lie down. Some three-wheel buggies will have an option to lie flat completely while others only allow for the parent to be facing one.

An excellent option for taking on off-road and muddy walks is the Roma Atlas. The buggy can be used as a one-person unit from birth and then adapts to take two children when your family grows. The downside of having bigger wheels is that they can make buggies quite large and make it difficult to get through narrow spaces. This could be problematic if you intend to use it for jogging or you need to get through narrow doorways while on the move. Many models have small folding options that let you remove the front wheels and store them in a more compact manner.

Easy to Manoeuvre

A three-wheel buggy can be easier to maneuver with children. They are designed so that the front wheels turn on a dime, and are easy to move, making them ideal for terrains that are difficult, such as cobblestones, parks as well as bumpy roads and dirt tracks.

MFM reviewer Kath tried a 3-wheeler with her toddler and newborn and said: "The Terrain was a pleasure to maneuver over tough terrain and the swivel front wheel particularly useful. The only downside to this amazing maneuverability is that the larger wheels of the 3 wheel buggy might make it difficult to fit into tight spaces. This is something to be aware of if your home area is an urban area. If this is the case then a 4-wheeled buggy could be the better option for you.
