This Roomba is rated as one of the top vacuums available. It is the most powerful AI obstacle-avoidance system of any vacuum we've ever tested. It also has a mopping mechanism with dual rubber brushes, which are less likely to cause tangles than bristle brushes.

It utilizes random (or bump) navigation instead of vSLAM, which takes longer to clean but ensures that each space is sprayed. It also has a remarkable battery life and can be used on hardwood and carpet flooring.

1. Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO is finished in a fashionable matte grey finish that looks like a fabric. This helps to reduce fingerprints. Smart mapping technology creates a map of your home using advanced sensors. This allows it to clean rooms and stay clear of obstacles. You can also alter your cleaning preferences using the irobot vacuum mop app, which gives suggestions based on your home and season (like running it more frequently during the season of allergy). The high-efficiency filter on the robot's filtration system traps 99 percent of allergens including dust mites, mold, dog and cat hair, and pollen. It also features a cliff- and edge-sweeping sensor and four brushes (including one side brush two multi-surface long brushes and two long multi-surface multi-surface brushes) and a tracker for the floor to keep it on its designated route.

During testing during testing, the i3+ EVO cleaned our floors quickly and efficiently. It was able to move easily from carpets to rugs and then back. It also did not have any issues getting over the wooden or metal trims that separate flooring kinds. However, it did run into a few items like handbags, shoes and pet toys, but it was able to move around them. It missed a few dirt spots on the carpet, but it did take hair from pet hair elsewhere.

While it's a great choice for homes with carpeting however, the i3+ EVO falls short of the competition in terms of picking up crumbs and heavier debris. It's not able to clean pet hair from carpets, and may not be the best choice for those looking to replace their conventional vacuum cleaner with robotic. It is also not equipped with the superior obstacles-avoidance capabilities of top Roombas such as the s9+ or j7+, which can make it more likely to get into pet waste on flooring and spread it across.

2. Roomba j7+

This is among the best robot vacuums for those with carpet, hard flooring and carpet. Its most notable feature is its obstacle detection that intelligently removes furniture legs, cords, and even pet debris. It also does a really great job at cleaning hard floors and picking up long hairs that get stuck in the brush.

Unlike many other robots, unlike many other robots, Roomba J7+ is able to adjust its suction power. This is done via the app. It also comes with an excellent map editor and a section to save your favorite maps. The j7+ is also quite quiet, particularly on the higher flooring options and it does a fantastic job of keeping up with manual vacuuming.

As is typical the top models of iRobot's line tend to have better cleaning performance than lower-end models. In our tests the j7+ was able to remove more debris on both hard and carpeted surfaces than the 694 and did better in crevices. The only problem was that it did not perform as well in the longer human hair test, which is common with all robots.

The j7+ comes with a self-emptying Clean Base that is able to automatically transfer dirt from its bin into dirt bags when it docks. This reduces the need for hands-on maintenance and is a real boon for those who suffer from allergies. The j7+ is compatible with iRobot Braava Jet M Series robot mop using its Imprint Link feature. It will resume mopping automatically after the vacuuming process is complete.

3. Roomba i7+

The i7+ is a fascinating machine to watch. It follows a specific pattern similar to how a lawn care professional trims a field before an event. It will sometimes return to the dock to empty its bin or recharge its batteries. This feature, which lets the vacuum to empty itself, is a wonderful feature that reduces the requirement for manual maintenance.

It also has a great amount of suction power that can pull up dirt and pet hair effortlessly. It is able to remove the majority of dirt on carpets with high pile in only one swipe. It can also find areas with high traffic and spend longer in those areas. This is particularly helpful if your children and pets bring in large amounts of debris from the outside.

Another excellent feature is Smart Mapping, which allows the i7+ to understand the structure of your home and create a customizable floor map while it vacuums. After four one-hour sessions, the i7+ was able to navigate my two-bedroom home efficiently and logically. You can further alter the mapping via the app by creating virtual boundaries and assigning rooms names. You can set the i7+ up to clean the area around the cat's kitty litter tray every morning, or to avoid the sofa in the living room after everyone has gone home.

The i7+ is also equipped with a side brush and an squeegee with tangle-free spin that are both great for removing debris that might otherwise be left on the ground. It also comes with batteries that have Recharge and Resume Technology that lets it take over the place it left off in the previous cleaning session.

4. Roomba 694

The 694 is a great basic robot for anyone who wants to make their home more tidy but without the advanced automation features that the higher-end models have. It learns your cleaning habits to recommend schedules, it works with Google Assistant and Alexa voice assistants that allow you to start cleaning with one click and can be controlled with the irobot mopping and vacuum app.

The dual multi-surface brushes pick dirt from carpets and hard floors and an edge-sweeping brush takes care of edges and corners. The battery lasts for approximately 90 minutes on a single charge, and when it's low, it docks itself back to the Home Base and recharges.

A large Clean/Power button is in the middle of the top panel with Spot and Home buttons to the left and right. The indicator for the battery's level glows orange when charging and green when the robot has enough power to run. The dustbin slides into the robot's back and is released by pressing the button.

The Roomba 694 is great in navigating floors that are bare and sucking up large debris like cereal and rice. However, it struggles with smaller particles such as baking soda. It is also prone to overflow its dirt container when it is filled. It also doesn't work better on carpets with low pile but it still scores an excellent score compared to other robot vacuums that are priced in this range.

It is extremely effective in picking up hair from pets. However, some strands may get caught around the side brush. The poor performance of the 694 on cat litter is also a cause of concern, despite the fact that it still scored the same as the other robots in this class. It topped our top pick (the Roborock S4 Max), by 19 points. The 694 costs a bit more than the RoboVac 30C, but it is more robust, requires less maintenance, has a lower recurring cost, charges faster and is more effective on high-pile and bare floors. It also has a bigger dustbin, and it can be used even without an internet connection.

5. Eufy 11s

The eufy11s is one of most affordable robot vacuum robot vacuums on the market. It's also a good choice if you want an easy and reliable machine. This model is able to remove pet hair and other particles effectively on both hard floors and low-pile carpet, and it does well in moving around obstacles and furniture. Its slim profile is perfect for reaching underneath low-clearance couches or coffee tables and other furniture, and it's one of the quietest robovacs we've test-driven.

This is the most basic model we've seen. It lacks features found in higher-end models. There's no app for it, so you will need to manually set the timer by using the remote control. It does not include an alert for the level of battery or a dust bin alert. You'll need to manually empty the trash bin when needed.

This model is robust and easy to maintain, despite its price. It has a long battery life, and it is able to perform well on flat floors and around obstacles. In our tests it was able to climb over low-lying obstacles like electrical cords with greater ease than the Roomba 694 and Shark Ion robots, but it had trouble with carpets with high pile.

While the eufy 11s may be better than the ONSON GOOVI F007, we suggest a more premium option when you can afford it. The iRobot Roomba 694 has a longer battery life, is more simple to maintain and has a lower recurring cost. It also performs better on unfinished floors as well as when maneuvering around furniture, and comes with the largest dust bin.
