Easy to Assemble

A lightweight stroller can be a great choice for parents who are constantly in motion. They are designed to be easy to assemble and fold, to carry and store. They also have an extended canopy that protects your child from sun and rain. They are great for navigating busy streets, crowded malls, and public transportation.

The stroller offers plenty of storage space, including a large front pocket as well as an under-seat basket with zippers that can hold 12.5 pounds.

While this stroller isn't the most affordable in our tests, it does have a lot of parent-friendly features. It's assembled and has a simple one-button reclining mechanism. It also fits in the overhead bins on many planes. Its only downside is that it doesn't include a leg rest to support your toddler and the storage space is smaller than our other strollers that are lightweight alternatives.

Easy to Fold

The strollers that are lightweight are available in a variety of sizes and shapes, depending on the model. A few of our top choices have a simple one-handed folding process, while others come with a reclined seat that can be adjusted in multiple positions or an extended canopy that protects your child from the wind and sun. Some of the best strollers come with an adjustable strap for carrying and a large storage area under the wheels.

One of the most simple models we test The Kolcraft Cloud Plus folds with one hand and can even be folded while your child is playing in it (although it's not recommended). It also folds up quickly, and has an adjustable handle for if you're different heights than your partner. The sun shade is flat and doesn't do much to block out rays. It also has an undercarriage that is less than other strollers.

Silver Cross Jet 4 is an ultra-light stroller that is an excellent pushchair travel system option. It folds into a compact package that can be carried like a suitcase and fits into most overhead bins of airplanes. The stroller is easy to carry with either straps or handles that are cushioned. The Jet 4 stroller is on the expensive side, but it comes pushchair with car seat a variety of features that parents will appreciate. It has a wide recline and UPF 50+ canopy, and the strap is padded.

Another excellent travel stroller is the UPPAbaby G-Luxe that folds down into a triangular design and is about as small as a backpack for babies. It's big enough to fit bags for a weekender bag, a diaper bag, and a back pocket. There are two cup holders for parents. The only downside is that the G-Luxe isn't equipped with a full recline and doesn't have a convenient carry strap, but it's still an excellent option for families on the move.

When it is folded and carried it's hard to find anything more compact than the Cybex Libelle. The stroller folds down into a rectangle that's as small as a passport. As such, it's easy to slip into a purse or backpack. It can be rolled down the aisles of an aircraft and is great for checking gates, cabin storage or even for storage in overhead compartments.

Carry it easily

In addition to taking up less room in your car, light strollers are easy to carry and store with carriers making them perfect for families on the go. Some fold up as small as an umbrella so you can put them in the corner of your trunk or in your diaper bag when not in use. Others have a handle or padded carrying strap that can be easily slipped over your shoulder.

The most compact strollers can be folded into a rectangle that measures 12x14x7 inches. when folded. This is within the carry-on restrictions of airlines. The Pockit is a good example. It is a two-step process and requires both your hands to fold, however it is so light it can be carried as backpacks or a tote. Another compact option is the Cybex Libelle, prams pushchairs Prams pushchairs which is slightly higher than the Pockit. It also folds into a rectangle but measures 13x18x7 inches once folded.

They may not move as smoothly as full-size strollers with bigger tires and more robust suspensions, but they're a great choice for maneuvering through tight spaces like airport terminals or narrow streets on public transportation. They can also be used on rough terrain such as cobblestone roads or sandy beaches, though your child is likely to experience more bumps and bruises than in a top-of-the-line full-size stroller that has a strong suspension system.

UPPAbaby’s new Minu stroller offers numerous features at the price of a reasonable. Its suspension is able to handle rough terrain. It comes with a nice canopy however, it's not as big as our top pick. The recline mechanism is easy to use. However, it doesn't fold as small as the Yoyo2 or Munchkin Sparrow and weighs more than the Bugaboo Butterfly, so you may need to check the gate on flights. It does come with a clever feature, though it has a retractable footrest, which doubles as an handle when the stroller is folded.

Another great option is the Contours Quick Elite, which can accommodate 30 different car seats (adapter required) or a toddler up to 50 pounds. It's not quite as light as our top choices, but it's compact when folded. It also comes with an under-seat basket that is large enough to hold a backpack.

Easy to Store

If you're looking for a stroller easy to store and transport you should consider a model that folds down to a compact fold. They usually have an upright that can be used to keep them upright when they're not in use. This makes it simple to put the stroller in your trunk or backseat to make it easy to access when you need it.
