It also has an under-seat storage area and an adjustable shoulder strap that makes it easier to carry around if you're not pushing it. But the canopy adjustment can make lots of noise which can wake a sleepy toddler.

1. Contours Itsy

A compact stroller, the Contours Itsy offers lots of features for its tiny size. The back basket under the seat features a spring-loaded mechanism, so you can pull the basket down to place the backpack or diaper bag and it will then pop up to secure its contents. It has a child accessory holder and an adjustable seat pad that reclines. This is more than you would see on a typical light stroller.

It also has a canopy that can be shut and opened to achieve the sun protection level you want. The handlebars can be adjusted in height to ensure a comfortable fit in four different positions. However, we weren't thrilled by the quality of its ride on rough terrain. We felt that the suspension and wheels did not do a good job of absorbing shocks and bumps.

The stroller is perfect for travel because it comes fully assembled in the box. It requires only a few simple steps to get it ready to use. The seat can be moved forward and backward to adjust the recline and is pretty flat. Two buttons on the frame allow it to fold and unfold. The Munchkin Sparrow stroller is the ideal stroller for parents who are constantly moving. This ultra-compact stroller is a breeze to fold up and down and easily fits in overhead compartments on planes as well as in trunks at amusement parks (no more worrying about parking charges). It comes with a carry bag that zips up for easy storage. It is able to be used from birth using the infant car seat adapter and provides a decent amount of sun protection thanks to its canopy (though not as much as the Nuna TRVL or Uppababy Minu V2). The only issue is that some parents find the style to be a bit utilitarian and expensive.

The BabyZen Yoyo+ is a little more expensive than other single pushchair strollers with lightweights, but it was designed specifically for luxe travel and urban living. It is among the most easy strollers to fold, and comes with a convenient carry case. It has plenty of storage space, including a cupholder. The seat is comfortable for both the adult and child, and it reclines to a nearly flat position. This is the only stroller on our list that has a car seat adapter to allow it to be used with babies. The handlebar is not adjustable and could be a problem for some parents who are taller.

The UPPAbaby Minu V2 may not be the lightest stroller, but it is packed with great features to help children travel more easily. The large seat reclines to a flat position and has additional padding to make those airplane napping sessions more comfortable. The canopy that extends can provide adequate sun protection, while the parent tray has plenty of storage. It also comes with a spring-loaded handle that doubles as a footrest when folded. This footrest, however, is prone to damage by baggage handlers.

4. Uppababy Minu V2

The Uppababy Minu V2 is a high-end stroller that doesn't compromise on quality or design. Its compact design makes it easy to navigate through narrow streets and tight spaces, but its sturdy structure allows it to withstand rough terrain without compromising the safety of your child. Front and rear spring-action suspensions create an incredibly comfortable ride for both of you, and its robust materials ensure that it can withstand every day wear and tear without losing its shape. Furthermore it can be extended to accommodate additional items such as baby car seat.

Even with a baby in the mix, the Minu was very easy to fold and move around. Its squat almost square fold which folds in thirds, is among the easiest in our tests and allows it to easily be tucked away in overhead compartments of planes or in public transportation. It also comes with an automated brake with a color coded single pushchairs-action that is easy to use.

The seat reclines in a variety of positions and the leg rest can be adjusted with one hand, making it a breeze to find your child's ideal position. The UPF 50+ hood went down quite a ways, which was great to shield Cora's eyes from the sun (though not as low as some other strollers). The medium-sized mesh peekaboo window is attached magnetically to the canopy, and it closes without the use of noisy Velcro.

The Minu weighs in at just 15 pounds, and comes with an integrated handle that makes it easy for carrying. It also comes with a shoulder strap. It can also be stowed in the trunk of your vehicle, and it comes with a storage container and access to Uppababy's TravelSafe program, which provides two years of manufacturer's warranty and covers replacements for any items damaged in the course of air travel.

5. Joovy Aire

Joovy, an established stroller brand offers several models. This lightweight stroller is a great option for parents who are looking for a sturdy stroller to take their children. It is easy to maneuver, comes with plenty of storage space, and is easy to fold. It's not the best choice when you're looking for a car seat-compatible model or a double stroller, however. It doesn't accept infant car seats. Your baby must be able to sit up on their backs before they can use it.

This stroller comes with a number of solid features, and it comes with a hefty price. It scored higher in our maneuverability test than other strollers with similar specifications. It's also a great option for smooth paved surfaces. It also has a lovely canopy and plenty of storage, including a spacious parent tray. The front wheel suspension is a bit stiff, and the handlebar is a bit smaller than average, but it still provides a comfortable ride for adults.
