This is a great choice to consider if you're looking for a basic robotic cleaner, but without the features of other models. It was great at getting rid of pet hair, Cheerios and kitty litter on hardwood floors.

It is fast and accurate in the mapping room, and it does a great job of avoiding obstacles. It can be operated manually via the included remote.

The S9+ is the top robot vacuum we've tested cleaning hard floors as well as carpeting. It has the strongest suction of any robotic vacuum cleaner available. It also does an excellent job in eliminating pet hair. It can also be programmed to make multiple passes or adjust the amount of suction based on the size of the room, which is something we haven't yet seen on other models. The app lets you customize how it works and also choose the time it starts working, so that you can be present in the room while it moves around.

It does not have the hazard-avoidance features of recent models, and could get stuck on rug tassels or other obstacles it isn't able to see.

The s9+ has a flat front, unlike the majority of circular robots. It also has a squared-off face that makes it easier to reach corners than models with rounded fronts. It's also quieter than the previous irobot shop model we tested and is more compact than the Neato Botvac D7. It's not inexpensive, but you'll will get plenty for your money when you consider how well it performs and that you don't have worry about emptying the dirty bin afterwards. If it detects that you're on a floor that requires mopping it will switch to the normal cleaning mode and deploys the robot arm with an attached pad. It scrubs the floor using a light-touch that left my floors feeling and looking like they'd been thoroughly cleaned.

After cleaning the j7+, it returns to its dock and recharges. It then drives back to the spot where it started, and continues cleaning. It usually runs for 85 minutes, or more or less in my home before needing to return to the dock for a recharge. It's not as long as the s9+, however it's nonetheless impressive for a device that can do both vacuuming and mopping.

The j7+, just like other iRobot vacuum cleaners, evades obstacles and recognizes them. It also features what iRobot calls Cliff Detect technology, which helps to prevent it from taking a tumble down the stairs. It's a great security feature for families with children.

The j7+'s onboard bin is relatively small, so you'll need return it to the dock to empty it frequently in the event that your home is big. The j7+ can be stored easily. The Clean Base, which comes with it, acts as a charging dock, an external dustbin, and an internal bin that the j7+ can deposit dirt into.

The model is stunning on plain floors, but is a struggle on flooring with low pile. It also has a difficult time to take in large amounts of debris as the dirt compartment fills. However, it is sturdily constructed and has a lengthy battery life that you can extend with the eco-friendly 'Eco' mode.

The Shark IQ is compatible both with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant so you can operate it using your voice. Its app allows you to identify your robot (mine is Sharky Shark), remotely start and schedule its runs and view your cleaning history and any error notifications. You can also create a map of your home and set up zones that are not accessible to the public.

The Shark iQ is more expensive than the iRobot Roomba j7+, but it has more features for mapping and apps and superior cleaning capabilities on all surface types. It also charges more quickly and is less frequently caught on rug tassels which means it can reduce the cost of recurring expenses. Unfortunately, this model cannot stay away from areas with pet bowls or furniture, and you'll need physical boundary strips to keep it out of specific objects.

4. iRobot Roomba 694"

It has a large dirt container, can run for long periods of time, and is excellent at cleaning pet hair. It's hard to maintain and navigation is a problem. It's not equipped with a companion app and voice control, however it does have a user-friendly remote. It doesn't inform you when the dust bin is full. You'll have to check it regularly.

The eufy has many advantages over the bObsweep Bob Pro however in certain areas, it's not as good as iRobot Roomba 694. The iRobot Roomba 694 is much better built, has fewer parts to keep in good condition, a HEPA filter that lasts longer on one charge, and provides better cleaning capabilities for bare floors, low-pile and high-pile. It also features a better navigation system which can navigate around obstacles, and has more advanced automation features such as boundary stripes.

The irobot roomba combo Roomba 900 Series is an ideal choice for the majority of users, although the eufy remains an excellent choice. The irobot mopping and vacuum is better built, simpler to maintain, has a bigger dustbin, and provides superior performance on all surface types. It is also more efficient to recharge and has longer battery life.

The eufy is also superior to the ILIFE A4s, but it's not as efficient as a top-end robot such as the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. The iRobot is built better and has a larger dust bin, and incurs fewer cost-per-use. It also has more sophisticated automation capability like boundary stripes, and a navigation algorithm that is more sophisticated. The iRobot can also take care of pet hair more efficiently and it's much easier to maintain than the eufy.
